AROS is an operating system for a wide variety of popular computer platforms. AROS is small, efficient and open source, based upon the logical structure of AmigaOS 3.1 (which ceased development in 1994). AROS is easy and transparent and will become an attractive alternative to Windows, MacOS and Linux.

There is something for everyone: from futuristic first person shooters to bubbly puzzlers, choo choo train games for kids to empire building strategy. More and more hardware is supported by AROS, but it's not always easy to know what. But there are several dedicated AROS computers that you can buy with everything needed pre-installed. And it doesn't cost a fortune. There are also several compatible laptop models you can buy second hand.
